Undocumented Immigrant, Child Rapist Using Fake Name Arrested
Marvin Ramos, 50, gave officers a fake name when he was pulled over. Police learned he was in the US illegally and had a criminal past.

NEW CANEY, TX — An undocumented immigrant with a criminal history of child rape was arrested during a traffic stop in New Caney Wednesday morning, police said.
Marvin Mejia Ramos, 50, was was driving a 2006 black Jeep Liberty, when he was pulled over at about 6 a.m. Wednesday for a traffic violation in the northbound feeder road of Interstate 69.
When he was asked his name by the deputy Ramos identified himself as Jose Ramirez. During the investigation, deputies learned that Ramos was an undocumented immigrant who'd been in the U.S. using a fake name.

Deputies checked his fingerprints and learned Ramos had been deported to Mexico numerous times, and had convictions for perjury, sexual assault of a child, lewd acts with a child under the Age of 14, and continuous sexual assault of a child.
Police said Ramos was deported in 2013, but soon returned, only to be arrested in 2015 for DWI in the Houston area, again under a fake name.

Deputies contacted the Department of Homeland Security and took custody of Mejia Ramos.
