Victim Identified In Margaritaville Electrical Accident
The man who was electrocuted and died Thursday at Margaritaville Lake Resort has been identified as Garrett Townes, of Cold Springs.

CONROE, TX — Conroe police have identified the 25-year-old man who died in an accident at Margartitaville Lake Resort on Lake Conroe on Thursday.
Garrett Townes, a 25-year-old from Cold Springs, Texas, was pronounced dead from an incident in which he and another worker were electrocuted shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday.
Conroe police are not releasing the name of the injured worker for privacy reasons. His injuries are non-life threatening. A third worker nearby was not injured in the accident.

Conroe police, the Montgomery County Forensic Center and Entergy are investigating the incident. Margaritaville Lake Resort has closed at the recommendation of Entergy until a thorough investigation can be conducted by safety crews, according to a news release.
Conroe Police Chief Jeff Christy offered his condolences to the families of the victims in a news release.
