Willis Man Accused Of Kidnapping, Unlawful Restraint Of Minor

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office arrested a suspect in a Fort Worth incident as part of a joint task force Tuesday night.

WILLIS, TX — A Willis man is accused of kidnapping and unlawful restraint of minor connected to an incident in Tarrant County.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was part of a Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force effort that arrested Anthony Maldonado, 35, at his Willis home Tuesday night, according to a news release. Personnel from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Office of Inspector General and US Marshals also were involved in the arrest.

The North Texas Fugitive Task Force accused Maldonado of forcing a 16-year-old girl into a restaurant restroom in Fort Worth and attempting to sexually assault her. After learning he lived in Willis, North Texas authorities contacted the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force.
