Woodforest Bank Donates $150K To Veterans Memorial In Conroe
The bank added the names of its veterans to The Line, a tribute to servicemembers and veterans at the Montgomery County park.

CONROE, TX — Woodforest National Bank presented a $150,000 donation to the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park last week to honor all current and former servicemembers of the United States military.
The bank will be a sponsor of The Line, a four-panel multiple panel tribute to servicemembers and veterans of the United States military at the park. Leadership and staff from Woodforest National Bank assisted with the presentation, and their names were added to The Line.
The current display has six name panels and four landmark signs with plans to expand to 20 name panels. All active duty personnel and veterans are eligible to be included on The Line.

The Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission (MCVMC) has future plans for the name panels to cross over the reflection pond to also line the westernmost side of the memorial. The monument also has a personal touch, with QR codes that can be scanned to listen to individual accounts and sacrifices of veterans.
The commission has received over 600 names from 19 states since The Line opened, according to MCVMC Director of Public Relations Howard Wood.

"Without enthusiastic and willing partners like Woodforest National Bank, it would take a lot longer to expand the park,” Wood said.
