The future of Corpus Christi is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Chase Lynch, who are making a positive impact in and around Corpus Christi.

Chase, a senior at Calallen High School in Corpus Christi, has been named the 2025 recipient of the prestigious Matt Beveridge Award. The award celebrates individuals who inspire others both on and off the field, recognizing their exemplary character, leadership, courage and spirit. A four-year letter winner for the Wildcats, Chase is also a two-time academic all-district selection with an impressive 5.07 GPA, earning him an academic scholarship to play baseball at McMurry University.

Beyond his athletic and academic achievements, Chase is deeply committed to giving back to his community. He volunteers with youth baseball programs and has participated in both the Driscoll Children's Hospital Toy Drive and Meet the Wildcats Baseball Camps for the past four years. Chase is also known for his active involvement in the Interact Club, Rotary International’s service club for young people, and Junior Achievement of South Texas, providing immersive real-world learning opportunities for students.
