Other Leopard Street owners share similar concerns, and a KRIS 6 photographer was attacked while covering the issue near City Hall. City leaders say a previously reported homelessness grant is expected to go before council January 27.

She’s now in Nueces County Jail facing multiple intoxication manslaughter and assault charges, with investigators still working the case.

When the holidays hurt; Corpus Christi father shares heartbreaking story (kristv.com) — A Corpus Christi father is sharing the painful story of losing his 11-year-old daughter to celebratory gunfire on New Year’s Eve, hoping to stop it from happening again. Supported by the local community and mental health experts, he’s urging residents and city leaders to avoid outdoor gunfire and seek help coping with grief during the holidays.
