Mesquite, Texas - To enhance citizen involvement and realign its administrative priorities, the City of Mesquite is set to launch a Community Survey this fall. This initiative is designed to gather insights into the city's various programs and services.

Throughout October, the first phase of the survey will see a select group of Mesquite residents, chosen at random, receiving invitations to participate. These invitations will be communicated through a mix of methods, such as text messages, official letters, and posts on social media platforms.

Starting in the second half of November, the online survey portal will be open to all residents. The City of Mesquite commits to ensuring the privacy of every respondent, safeguarding the authenticity of the survey's results.

Assistant City Manager Chris Sanchez commented in an official statement, “We greatly appreciate residents taking time to complete the survey because we want to ensure that the City’s priorities align with the needs of our citizens. We will use the information gathered in the Community Survey to improve City services and help identify and address challenges in the community.”

To ensure a high standard of data collection, the City has partnered with the ETC Institute, a leading organization in customer satisfaction surveys, especially within the government sector. The City of Mesquite encourages its residents to stay informed about updates related to the Community Survey, which will be shared through the City’s social media channels and in two specific publications: 'Mainstream' and 'Council Connection.'
