Dallas - Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is set to implement lane closures as part of its Silver Line project developments, Dallas Metro News reported.

According to an official notice from DART, starting September 25, there will be intermittent traffic disruptions at the intersection of Fairway Drive and East Belt Line Road in Coppell. These disruptions are expected to last through early November.

The project, divided into three phases, will close the northbound lane of Fairway Drive. This closure, beginning on September 25, will continue until the end of October. Importantly, traffic flowing south on Fairway Drive will continue as usual, unaffected by the construction.

DART's Silver Line, with a budget of over $2 billion, is expected to be operational either by late 2025 or at the latest, by mid-2026.

As the project progresses, following the first phase, drivers should be prepared for traffic disturbances. Specifically, the southbound lane will close from mid-October to early November.

The final phase of the project, set for early to mid-November, will require a complete road closure. During this time, traffic will be thoughtfully diverted around the construction site.
