Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:

  1. A shooting in downtown Dallas on Sunday left one person dead and two others wounded. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Jul. 30 near South Pearl Expressway and Commerce Street. Mario Shontez Marchbanks, 22, died as a result of the shooting. One of the other victims is in critical condition and the other victim is reportedly in stable condition. A reward of up to $5,000 is available from North Texas Crimestoppers for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call (214) 373-TIPS (8477) or contact Det.   2. Police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred on Vantage Point Drive. Upon arriving at the scene, police found a man with multiple stab wounds. The man was quickly transported to a local hospital, but despite life-saving actions, he died from his wounds. The Dallas police are asking anyone with information to please contact Det.
