Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:
- The Dallas Foundation has awarded a $50,000 grant to Seeds 2 STEM. The nonprofit is based in Southern Dallas. Seeds 2 STEM focuses on supporting high school students in their efforts to become workplace-ready. The grant is meant for organizations that have an innovative approach to addressing the community's needs. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)

- Dallas' Parkland Hospital reports that diabetes in North Texas is on the rise. The increase has been significant in Black and Hispanic communities. The increase has been attributed to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health. About 34 percent of Texas residents have pre-diabetes.
