  1. Lauren M. Johnson and David Williams of CNN report that Dallas restaurant La Duni was struggling to find workers and has turned to robots for help. Owner Espartaco Borga said he contacted a robotics company in Plano for help with staffing. The bots greet customers, take food to tables, and they can even sing "Happy Birthday."(CNN)
  2. Teresa Gubbins of Culture Map Dallas reports the Dallas Cowboys' open-air space called the Miller Lite House is opening at AT&T Stadium. She likened the new space to a beer bar crossed with a tailgate party. (Culture Map Dallas)
  3. Forrest Cook of the Dallas Observer reports that a new Dallas punk band called Hard Detox has completed a new EP titled "Death Mullet." With six tracks, the EP is expected to be released in the fall. (Dallas Observer)
  4. Priscilla Aguirre of MySA.com reports a former Dallas-Fort Worth family got quite the surprise recently when the new mother gave birth while camping in an RV at a state park near Corpus Christi. While the couple had planned for the mother, Megan Perez, to deliver her baby in the RV, they'd hoped to do so near a family member's home — not in the wilderness. (MySA.com)
  5. Paul J. Weber and Jamie Stengle of The Associated Press report that Gov. Greg Abbott is defending the state's newly effective law that bans most abortions — with no exceptions to even cases of rape or incest. Additionally, he said Texas will try to "eliminate all rapists from the streets." (The Associated Press)
