  1. The Plano Police Department has arrested a suspect in the Dallas roofing “nail bandit case.” Kevin Genter, 45, was arrested after a reported shooting. His vehicle matched the description of a car that was seen dropping nails around the Toyota headquarters parking lot. The department has not identified a motive for the roofing nail distribution. (The Dallas Morning News)
  2. The number of Dallas County evictions is increasing. According to the Child Poverty Action Lab, the number of evictions is the highest it has been in at least five years. There were 4,045 evictions filed by landlords last month. Northeast Dallas' 75243 zip code has the highest number of evictions. (The Dallas Morning News)
  3. Law enforcement sources have confirmed that the Dallas Methodist Hospital shooter cut off his ankle monitor earlier this year. Nestor Hernandez, 30, had violated his parole twice before the shooting. Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia has been critical of how Hernandez's parole was handled, calling it a “failure of our criminal justice system.” (WFAA.com)
