- North Texas will be getting a new state park. The Palo Pinto Mountains State Park will be the area's newest state park in 25 years. The ranchland is known for its rolling hills and 1,400-foot peaks. It is about 75 miles west of Dallas-Fort Worth. Dallas residents might be surprised to discover that the region is not entirely flat. (The Dallas Morning News)
- The City of Dallas has launched a new domestic violence dashboard to provide real-time updates on the county's shelters. The dashboard was launched on Tuesday at the request of the Mayor's Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking Advisory Council. It will display data on local domestic violence crime along with key statistics such as gender, age, and ethnicity. (WFAA.com)
- The Dallas Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Cameron Hogg. According to the department, Hogg is a suspect in the murder of 21-year-old Asia Womack. The department has reason to believe that Hogg fatally shot Womack after she beat him at a pickup game of basketball. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the department.
