Judge says Dallas real estate CEO must pay $5.7 million in sexual harassment suit (star-telegram.com) — A Dallas-based real estate CEO has been ordered to personally pay $5.7 million to a former employee after a judge found he sexually harassed and assaulted her and then retaliated. The case, involving Dallas firm Home Marketing Services, is the first where a CEO is held personally liable under a 2021 Texas sexual harassment law, signaling stronger protections for Dallas workers.
   

4. Rodents and roaches found in latest Dallas restaurant inspections (star-telegram.com) — Recent city health inspections found rodents or roaches at three Dallas restaurants and flagged nine more for reinspection between Nov. 23 and Dec. 6. Scores, addresses and specific violations are listed, giving Dallas diners up-to-date insight into which neighborhood spots met, barely passed, or fell short of local food safety standards.
   

5. Police investigate string of break-ins targeting East Dallas small shops (fox4news.com) — East Dallas shop owners are dealing with a string of recent break-ins they believe may be tied to the same burglar targeting back doors and cash registers. Surveillance videos shared online show the suspect stealing nearly $1,000 from one store and attempting to enter others. Dallas police say the cases are part of an active investigation, while business owners consider forming a business watch group.
