After dining in at a Dallas location of fast-growing chain Ojos locos, one woman was comically shocked by the physical appearance of the waitresses during her dining experience, prompting viewers to be curious about the restaurant chain.

This fall a TikTok user (@daymjuju) posted a video from her car, shortly after ordering her food to go. “Let me tell you something,” she said. “There's some [beautiful women] in there. Do you hear me?”

“It made me happy,” she says. “I should have sat in there and ate my food instead of getting it,” likely referring to wanting the full Ojos Locos experience, as the restaurant has become known for the physical appearance of its waitresses.

What Is Ojos Locos?

Ojos Locos Sports Cantina is a Dallas-born Mexican-themed sports bar and restaurant chain known for its grilled tacos, cold beer, and soccer-centric atmosphere. However, the establishment has garnered more attention for its waitresses, called “chicas,” in cutoff tops and short skirts, earning nicknames like the “Mexican Twin Peaks.”

“I mean, there's a girl that walked past me,” she says. “Honey, ain't no piece of waste.”

The woman ordered tacos and cervezas to go, but wishes she had dined in instead, she said.

Her review of the experience, however, prompted many comments jokingly discussing that the establishment has caused marital problems for many. “Being from Houston, Ojos Locos is the reason for many break ups and divorce,” wrote one comment.

“This place be causing all kinds of divorces,” echoed a second.

“My mom sold my dad’s DODGE CHARGER because she found out that he went to ojos locos,” wrote another.

Where Can I Find an Ojos Locos?

Ojos Locos has expanded steadily since its founding in 2010, growing from a single Dallas location to dozens of restaurants across Texas and the Southwest, including sites in Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and California. The chain’s concept as part Mexican cuisine, part sports bar, and part eye-catching entertainment leans heavily into its niche.

The restaurant follows a model where servers are presented as part of the draw, which has roots in earlier brands like Hooters and Twin Peaks and has both niche appeal and controversy. Advocates say the themed environment and bilingual staff create a spirited, culturally resonant social space. However, critics argue the focus on revealing uniforms and male-oriented branding can feel exploitative or out of step with evolving dining norms.

Despite community pushback in some areas, including local dress-code disputes and protests over proposed openings, Ojos Locos’ growth suggests there’s a consistent demand for the rising chain.
