Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:

  1. The Dallas County Sheriff's Office is searching for a tow truck driver responsible for a fatal crash involving Marine veteran Donald Collins, who died while aiding a mother and son on a Dallas highway. Graciela Leyva, the woman Collins saved, expressed gratitude from her hospital bed, suffering from severe injuries. The tow truck driver fled the scene after causing the initial collision, and another driver involved is facing charges of intoxication manslaughter and assault. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
  2. Angel Harris, 31, has been arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault following a double shooting incident on Palm Oak Drive on Saturday, resulting in the death of Tramaine Gulley, 39. Officers responding to the scene found two women who had been shot. While Gulley succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, the other victim remains in stable condition. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
  3. Cookin, a newly launched food-delivery platform that connects customers with home cooks and chefs, has made its debut in the United States starting in Dallas. The app offers quick delivery of homemade meals prepared by skilled cooks in under an hour. With a focus on the unique appeal of homemade dishes, Cookin has chosen Dallas as its first American city due to its food-curious population and culinary talent, featuring local businesses like Strouderosa BBQ and Haute Sweets Patisserie.
