Organizers frame it as a controlled, accountable way to resolve conflict while keeping one of the nation’s safest cities focused on non-lethal alternatives to violence.

Loretto senior writes about her father's murder, brother's disappearance to earn scholarship (kvia.com) — An El Paso Loretto Academy senior just earned a full QuestBridge scholarship to Stanford after writing about her father’s murder in Juarez and her brother’s disappearance. Growing up in low-income housing, she credits Loretto’s opportunities for helping her pursue plans to study political science and neuroscience and eventually advocate for immigrant children as a civil rights lawyer.
