Wanted man nabbed for burglary, drug charges in far East El Paso County (ktsm.com) — Deputies arrested a 33-year-old El Paso man after responding to a reported home burglary in far East El Paso County near San Elizario. Investigators say he tried to give false information, was found with fentanyl pills and drug paraphernalia, and was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on multiple charges and outstanding warrants.
   

2. City leaders question fundraising plan after El Paso Zoo audit (kfoxtv.com) — City officials are scrutinizing how the El Paso Zoo will raise money now that its longtime nonprofit fundraising partner is gone and donations flow through the Paso del Norte Community Foundation. With no clear development plan and only an interim director in place, leaders say a new master plan and City Council approval will be crucial for the zoo’s future projects and funding.
   

3. El Paso's Jake Fette will get to see future team in the 2025 Sun Bowl (elpasotimes.com) — El Paso quarterback Jake Fette, a Del Valle High School standout, will get to watch his future team, Arizona State, play in this year’s Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl. The four-star recruit discusses his commitment, chance for early playing time, and the strong ties he’s built with ASU’s coaching staff.
   

4. Traffic stop leads to DWI arrest in Horizon (ktsm.com) — Horizon City police say a Sunday night traffic stop near Eastlake led to the DWI arrest of a 35‑year‑old woman, who was later booked into the El Paso County Detention facility. Officers reported signs of intoxication and a breath test over the legal limit, and they’re urging El Paso‑area residents to take impaired driving seriously and report suspicious behavior.
