Here's how it helps Fort Worth (fortworthreport.org) — Fort Worth is getting a $351 million federal boost to expand water treatment capacity and ramp up large-item recycling as the city tops 1 million residents. Man shot outside Fort Worth game room in dispute over truck dies at hospital (star-telegram.com) — A 58-year-old man has died after being shot while trying to reclaim his truck outside a Fort Worth game room near East Berry Street and South Riverside Drive. Police say he was driving the truck away when the buyer opened fire, and no arrests have been announced. The shooting, which happened Nov. 8, is still under investigation.
4. Congressman Marc Veasey drops out of Tarrant County judge race (fortworthreport.org) — Fort Worth Congressman Marc Veasey has abruptly exited the Tarrant County judge race, choosing instead to finish his U.S. House term after redistricting reshaped his district. His withdrawal clears the Democratic field to Alisa Simmons and Millennium Anton C. Woods, while Republican incumbent Tim O’Hare faces a primary challenger. Local Democrats are recalibrating strategies as filing deadlines and 2026 races loom.
