14-Year-Old Charged With Capital Murder In Woman's Shooting

HOUSTON, TX — A 14-year-old boy is charged with capital murder in the shooting death of a 29-year-old woman in April.

The boy, who has not been identified, is being held at the Harris County Juvenile Probation Facility.

The body of Tuyen Nguyen was found in her front yard the 9500 block of Langdon Lane by her fiance as he was leaving for work on April 5.

Nguyen had last been seen at 11 p.m. on April 4 when she left her mother’s home.

Police said because Nguyen was holding her car keys and her bags were still with her when her body was found, they are doubtful that robbery was a motive in the murder.

The case is still under investigation.
