1. Saint Arnold Brewing Company and the University of Houston - Downtown are partnering once again to host the Art Car IPA 5K on Sunday, April 3. Live music, food, and beverages will be available for runners, as well as spectators. Registration is now open. (University of Houston - Downtown)
2. After the second-longest lockout in MLB history, the Houston Astros took the field on Sunday to start its abbreviated spring training. Houston is without several familiar faces due to negotiation delays from the lockout. (KHOU 11)
3. A clothing booth owner is expected to survive after he was shot while confronting two men who were trying to shoplift at a flea market in northwest Harris County, according to deputies. The shooting happened Saturday night at the Traders Village flea market on Eldridge Parkway near West Road. (ABC 13)
4. Tim Hortons plans to open 30 Houston locations with CSM Group. The first Tim Hortons in the area is planning for a summer 2022 opening. The Houston locations are part of a Texas-wide expansion. Tim Hortons will adjust its store model to better serve the American public, including a smaller menus focused on baked goods and hot breakfast sandwiches. (Houston Chronicle)
5. A sergeant and three other officers who were fired from the Houston Police Department for their roles in the 2020 deadly shooting of Nicolas Chavez are to be reinstated, according to the Houston Police Officers' Union. Chavez suffered a total of 29 entry or exit wounds, which included wounds from bullet fragments. (Click2Houston)
