Astros Sweep Indians 11-3, Will Face Yankees Or Red Sox In ALCS
The defending World Series champion Houston Astros will face the New York Yankees Or Boston Red Sox in the AL Championship Series.

CLEVELAND, OHIO — The Houston Astros swept the Cleveland Indians, winning game three of the ALDS 11-3 at Progressive Field Monday.
The Astros Dallas Keuchel pitched five innings struck out two and allowed two runs. The Tribe’s Mike Clevinger pitched five innings, striking out nine batters and allowing one run.
It was the Tribe striking first with Yan Gomes scoring on an RBI single in the 3rd inning on a Michael Brantley sacrifice fly to center field. The Indians held the Astros scoreless until the 5th inning when George Spring homered to left center field, making the score 1-1.

The Indians took a 2-1 with Francisco Lindor’s solo shot in the 5th inning, but the Astros evened the score again when Jose Altuve grounded out and scored Tony Kemp.
The Astros bats exploded with a Marwin Gonzalez scoring two RBI’s on a double in the 7th inning taking a 4-2 lead. In the 8th inning, the Astros six more runs nursing a 10-2 lead going into the 9th inning.

The Astros added another run in the 9th when Alex Bregman singled to right and scored Kemp on an RBI. the Indians scored one more run on a wild pitch in the 9th before the Astros recorded the final out for the Indians.
The Astros will face the winner of the ALDS between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox in the ALCS.
