1. A man was stabbed to death by his girlfriend's ex-husband in front of her and her daughter in north Houston on Sunday night, Houston police said. The incident happened at the intersection of Durwood Street and Bentley Street at around 10 p.m. (Click2Houston)

2. After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, CERAWeek has returned to downtown Houston. Carlos Pascual, a former U.S. ambassador to Mexico and Ukraine and senior vice president at S&P Global, is leading the discussions this year. (Houston Chronicle)

3. To enhance border security, a leader in drone technology at the University of Houston is proposing a continuous flight of small drones over its perimeter. Gino Lim, R. Larry and Gerlene (Gerri) R. Snider Endowed Chair of Industrial Engineering are leading the proposal. They propose the use of drones with a built-in wireless electrification line (E-line) battery charging system since the small battery of drones can be a limitation. (University of Houston)

4. On Sunday, hundreds showed up to a vigil put on by the Ukrainian American Cultural Center of Houston and the Consulate General of Ukraine in Houston. 27-year-old Polina Malinowska at the rally said she fled her home in Kyiv and had a long journey to the U.S. She had to pass through Moldova, Romania, and Turkey before making it to the U.S. (KHOU 11)

5. Houston Grand Opera has big plans for the 2022-2023 season coming this fall. The line-up includes "La Traviata," "The Wreckers," "El Milagro del Recuerdo," and more. Visitors can also enjoy the return of a groundbreaking Mariachi opera and fan favorites. (Houston CultureMap)
