Coach Wanted On Multiple Sexual Assault Charges, Police Said
A youth athletic coach is accused of preying on young girls is facing multiple felony charges for child sexual assault.

HOUSTON, TX -- The Houston Police Special Victims Unit are looking for a former youth athletic coach who sexually assaulted several young girls associated with the team, police said. Juan "John" Cruz, 51, is wanted for several felony counts including aggravated assault of a child, continuous sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child, and invasive visual recording.
Police said that for more than a year Cruz sexually assaulted several young girls between the ages of 9- and 11-years-old who were all involved with his sports team in north Houston.
Cruz is a Hispanic man, approximately 6-feet tall and 275 pounds, with brown eyes and short brown and gray hair.

Police believe he is in the Pasadena area and sometimes uses the name John Cruz.
Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to Cruz's arrest. Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
