During the summit, teens will get to speak candidly with deputies, lawyers, and judges. They will be discussing their concerns and voicing their opinions and perceptions about law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
In turn, law enforcement will show the students what its like, from their perspective, to respond to calls for service.

Both sides will participate in mock scenarios with the common goal of helping each understand the perspective of the other in the future.
Keynote speaker at this event will be Anthony Graves, who was exonerated after serving more than 18 years on death row.
He still believes in the criminal justice system despite his wrongful conviction and wants to share that message.
"Even though all this happened to me, it was a bad apple that did it to me. It wasn't the whole justice system," Graves said.
Attendees must register in advance by calling (713) 755-3372. Hundreds of students from 50 area schools expected. Each will receive six hours of community service credit for attending the summit.
