1. Two new COVID subvariants have been detected in Houston, according to doctors at Houston Methodist. Doctors at Houston Methodist say they've found 83 cases of BA.2.12 and three cases of BA.2.12.1. (KHOU 11)
2. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission has permanently pulled the liquor license of Las Vegas Night Club off West Hardy Road after investigating allegations of human trafficking and prostitution. It says criminal charges have also been filed against several suspects from the establishment. (KHOU 11)
3. A local group of workers hired to conduct COVID-19 testing recently gathered to protest outside The Grinder Group offices in North Houston. The workers claim they were not paid what they were promised. An immigrants rights organization claims people without legal residency were targeted to carry out the tests. (CW 39)
4. Houston police have released photos of four men who are now wanted in connection to the shooting outside of Spivey's nightclub in February. The shooter is accused of injuring the bouncer of the popular Third Ward club along with four others during the incident. (Click2Houston)
5. Credit union TDECU has announced it will open its newest location at 9595 Six Pines Drive, Suite 1500, The Woodlands, on Friday, April 22. The public is invited to the grand opening event where community members will celebrate the new branch. (Community Impact News)
