1. A 9-year-old girl is in critical condition after Houston police said she was shot by a man that had been robbed at a drive-thru at a Chase Bank ATM in southeast Houston on Monday. The shooting suspect told police he was unaware that the gunfire may have struck the child. He is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. (Click2Houston)
2. Texas-builder and operator Wan Bridge has announced a pipeline of more than 1,000 Build-to-Rent units across Texas, starting with the North Houston community Balmoral. Wan Bridge's 94-townhome lagoon community known as Clearwater at Balmoral will be the site of the expansion. (CultureMap Houston)
3. Typhoon Texas is looking for 1,000 new seasonal employees as they prepare for the summer season. Available positions include lifeguard, cash control, front gate, in-park entertainment, park services and maintenance. (KHOU 11)
4. Ring video from neighbor Cecilia Michel captured the moment a tall pine tree the City of Houston was doing work on fell on Houston college student Madeline Sharlow's blue Ford Fusion. City of Houston Interim Communications director and public information officer Erin Jones told a local outlet that Houston Public Works contractors will provide insurance information to the vehicle's owner for repairs. 5. Houston bakery Dessert Gallery is honoring notable Black Houstonians with a cookie campaign for Black History Month. Those honored include Texas congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, civil rights activist the Rev. Bill Lawson, and Olympian Simone Biles. The dessert shop will donate 10% of proceeds to The Ensemble Theatre. (Eater Houston)
