Driver Killed When SUV Smashes Through Houston Restaurant

A man who witnesses said was driving on the wrong side of the roadway, was killed with he drove into the side of a restaurant.

HOUSTON — A man was killed Wednesday when he drove his SUV into the side of a restaurant in southeast Houston. The crash happened at about 11:30 in the 5900 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Witnesses said the man was driving northbound in the southbound lanes when he crashed though the restaurant.

Onlookers rushed over to help, but the driver of the SUV died at the scene. His name has not been released. Officials are trying to determine what led to the crash.
