As the community grieves, he says more than 40 Hanukkah events around the Houston area will still go on with increased security, urging residents to show up and stand against antisemitism.

2. 11 year sentence for Houston meth dealer high-speed drug toss (fox4news.com) — A 45-year-old Houston man has been sentenced to more than 11 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing over five kilograms of crystal meth with intent to distribute. Prosecutors say he led officers on a 100-mph chase through the Houston area, tossing drugs from his car, and a federal judge cited the danger to the community in imposing the stiff sentence.
