Off-Duty Hitchcock Officer Shoots Man With Gun In Pasadena: Police

A Hitchcock police officer was on his way to work Monday when the incident occurred. The man sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

PASADENA, TX — An off-duty Hitchcock police sergeant shot a man with a gun in Pasadena after the man confronted him early Monday, a Pasadena Police Department spokesperson confirmed to Patch.

The officer was on his way to work before 5 a.m. when he spotted with man with a gun at 3101 Spencer Highway, between Strawberry Road and Lafferty Road. The officer shot the man at least once, and the man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, according to police.
