Family Of 4 Critically Burned During Road Rage Incident: Police
4 family members were injured when a man shot inside their pickup during a road rage incident and set their vehicle on fire, police said.
HOUSTON — Four family members were hospitalized with severe burns after their pickup erupted in flames during a road rage incident, according to police. The incident happened at about 9:45 p.m. in northwest Harris County in the 1800 block of W. Mount Houston Road.
Police said two men got into an argument outside of Fiesta Mart at W. Mount Houston Road, which continued to a nearby gas station. During the argument, one of the men pulled out a gun.
The father of two got back into his pickup to leave, and that’s when the suspect shot into the man’s vehicle and set off fireworks he’d just purchased.

The fireworks set the pickup on fire, burning all four inside. Police said the suspect fled the scene.

Good Samaritans rushed over and pulled the family from the burning pickup, but not before the family was severely burned.

Police said the parents were taken to University of Texas Medical Branch by ambulance, the children, ages 1- and 2-years-old were taken by Life Flight to the same hospital.
Police are looking for a young man, possibly of mixed race or Hispanic in his early 20s who drove away in a light-colored Ford Expedition with a woman and two children.
