Because nothing was missing from his apartment and he just simply vanished, investigator consider his disappearance suspicious and suspect foul play.

"Prior to his disappearance, Chase was living a very much normal life. The facts surrounding his disappearance are extremely suspicious to investigators with the sheriff's department."
Philpott said everything Lackey owned was still at the apartment, including his pickup.
Philpott added that investigators believe Lackey may have been aware of someone involved in some type of criminal activity, which may have led to his disappearance.
Chase's father, Craig Lackey, choked back tears as he pleaded for help to find his son.
"We just want everyone to take a look at the photos, and if anyone knows anything at all — however small, you may not think it may help, but it could be the key to bringing Chase back," he said.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of anyone associated with this or any other felony case. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
