1. German Doner Kebab, the international fast-casual brand specializing in gourmet kebabs, is coming soon to Sugar Land Town Square this summer. The brand will utilize the help of Dallas-based global design consulting firm Harrison, the company announced April 19. (Community Impact News)

2. Firefighters spent Sunday fighting a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in southwest Houston. The fire started just before noon on Sunday in the 6700 block of S. Dairy Ashford, according to the Houston Fire Department. (KHOU 11)

3. Police are looking for a suspect accused of shooting a man while attempting to carjack him and robbing another vehicle in the same night in southeast Houston. Officers received a call of a shooting at 12:50 a.m. to the first scene located in the 3700 block of Dreyfus. (ABC 13)

4. A judge set bond at $50,000 for a teen who is accused of killing an 18-year-old girl while reportedly playing with a loaded handgun on Houston's south side on Saturday afternoon. 17-year-old Zakorion Batiste is charged with manslaughter in the death of 18-year-old Nariah Champion, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. 5. A 13-year-old girl was attacked at school, left bleeding, and is afraid to go back to school. The incident happened in the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District, where the 7th grader suffered a serious head injury among other things when she was attacked at Cy-Fair ISD’s Thornton Middle School by another student.
