Harris County Grandmother Shoots, Kills Robber At Her Home

60-year-old woman home alone confronts robbers, fires at them

HOUSTON, TX — Two would-be robbers learned that you Don't Mess With Texas, even if it's a 60-year-old grandmother home alone. The Harris County Sheriff's Office reports that two armed men walked into the woman's garage. She confronted them, grabbed her pistol and fired at them. One suspect is dead the other ran away and is now on the loose.

The incident was reported at 11:18 a.m. in the 20000 block of Fort Bowie Court.

The second suspect ran away and the search for him is still ongoing, and it's not known if that suspect was injured during the shooting.
