Harmony School of Excellence-Houston Cheer Team Secures Another Big Win

The Harmony School of Excellence–Houston Middle School Cheer Team added another major accomplishment to its growing list of achievements this past weekend, returning home with an impressive victory that underscores its reputation as a powerhouse in local competitions.

The team, composed of 22 skilled athletes in grades 5 through 8, is known for its exceptional dedication to mastering the highly demanding elements of competitive cheer. With a practice schedule of at least six hours each week, the students continue to refine their tumbling, jumping, stunting, and dance techniques, disciplines that require both physical strength and precise teamwork. Their commitment shows not only in their routines, but in the energy and confidence they bring to each performance.

Over the course of the year, the team competes in multiple events and consistently places in the top three, frequently earning the coveted title of Grand Champion. This ongoing success is driven by the athletes’ determination, discipline, and the positive team culture they have built.

Guiding the cheerleaders are coaches Mrs. Berkowitz and Mrs. Massey, whose leadership and passion have been instrumental in shaping the team’s accomplishments. Both coaches emphasize the importance of sportsmanship, perseverance, and personal growth, values that shine through each time the team steps onto the mat.

With another victory secured, the Harmony School of Excellence- Houston Middle School Cheer Team continues to make its school and community proud, setting a high standard as they move forward into the rest of their competitive season.
