1. A team of University of Houston scholars and students are working to preserve National Women's Conference history and significance. It was the "most diverse, federally funded gathering of American women in U.S. history." The flagship product is a website called Sharing Stories from 1977 and it launches Tuesday, March 22. 2. One teen is dead and three others were wounded after shots were fired at a birthday party, deputies with Harris County Sheriff's Office said. The incident occurred shortly after midnight Sunday morning at Dreamlite Productions Studio, located in the 2900 block of South Sam Houston Tollway East near State Highway 288. The 16-year-old birthday girl was not injured and appeared okay. Authorities spoke to her, her family, and business owners, who are cooperating with the investigation. (Click2Houston)

3. A Sugar Land police officer is in critical but stable condition after a crash along the Southwest Freeway overnight, according to a report by ABC13. The incident happened while the officer was parked in an emergency lane checking on a DWI crash and was hit by a pickup truck, which was then hit by a woman driving in a Jeep. The officer and woman injured were taken to hospitals by Life Flight. (ABC 13)

4. The City of Houston announced last week that it has entered into a three-year smart city partnership with Rubicon Technologies, LLC. Rubicon is a digital marketplace for waste and recycling and provider of innovative software-based solutions for businesses and governments worldwide. Their software will allow Houston's Solid Waste Management Department to track key metrics and improve service for customers in the future. (City of Houston)

5. The first sculpture honoring a Latina woman in Houston was unveiled Saturday at The Center for Pursuit in the East End. It features Houston-based musical artist Norma Zenteno seated on a bench with her dog by her side as she strums a guitar. Zenteno came to Houston in the 1950s. (Houston Chronicle)

  • Bodycam footage was released nearly a month after an HPD officer fired a weapon toward a 19-year-old suspect while serving a felony warrant in the north Houston area. (ABC 13)
