Houston Firefighters Rescue Horse From Septic Hole
There wasn't horsing around when Houston Fire Department rescuers were called out on Sunday to pull a horse from an open septic hole.

HOUSTON — The Houston Fire Department wasn't just horsing around when they were called out on Sunday evening to conduct a rescue of the equine variety. Rescuers were called this weekend when as horse became trapped in a septic hole.
The owner of the horse said he was out on a ride in Acres Home in north Houston, when the horse fell into the six-by-six septic hole.
Rescue crews from Heavy Rescue 11, Engine 25, Ladder 7 and Ambulance 25 arrived at the scene and worked for more than an hour to free the animal.

Officials said the owner of the horse became belligerent with units on the scene and Houston Police was called and arrested the man.
The horse was left in the custody of animal control.

Rescuers contacted Houston Public Works about the septic hole.
