1. Houston Independent School District Chief Operating Officer (COO) Brian Busby, a decades-long veteran of HISD who has been overseeing the district since the end of 2016, is facing additional charges related to his many-pronged bribery scheme. The FBI requests any information the public may have about this scheme or other public corruption crimes affecting the greater Houston community and surrounding areas. (Houston Patch)

2. Police say an argument between two exes resulted in a woman's new boyfriend shooting her former boyfriend outside a Denny's parking lot in southeast Houston. It happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Denny's on Gulf Freeway near I-45 when authorities were called for reports of a shooting. (Fox 26 Houston)

3. A Texas Peace Officer was arrested after being accused of stealing thousands of dollars from four businesses over the course of seven months, according to documents. The documents show that officer Bobby Joe Espinosa was visiting the businesses while in a marked patrol vehicle and in full uniform as an officer. Espinosa was arrested Friday morning and is accused of demanding and stealing approximately $5,700 from the four businesses between September 2021 and March 2022. (KHOU 11)

4. A person was shot at the Galleria on Saturday evening, Houston police confirmed. The incident happened at about 7 p.m., police say the shooting took place near the Cheesecake Factory and Shake Shack. (ABC 13)

5. Conroe has approved increasing minimum lot size width following concerns from Wedgewood residents. Homeowners said they were concerned about the devaluation of property in the subdivision if 40-foot lots are allowed. Council Member Curt Maddux believes changing the ordinance will help protect the value of property in Wedgewood. (Community Impact News)
