Houston Man Accused Of Tying Up Dog, Beating It With Crow Bar

He used duct tape and a van wheel before repeatedly bashing the dog, per DA's Office

HOUSTON, TX — Dwain Ray Riley, 58 of Houston, was charged with a felony after he allegedly wrapped duct tape around the eyes and mouth of a dog and beat him with a crow bar, according to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday.

The family dog named Mudd was allegedly tied to the wheel of a van parked in the garage, and Riley allegedly bashed Mudd repeatedly.

“These allegations are horrific,” said Jessica Milligan, who’s head of the Animal Cruelty Unit at the HCDOA. “He viciously beat a dog that had been rendered entirely defenseless.”
