1. The Recovery Room SoHo Pearland, located at 1816 Pearland Parkway, Ste. 140, Pearland, is now open. Services at the location include IV Ketamine Therapy, intramuscular injections, IV hydration and hair restoration therapies. (Community Impact News)
2. A Texas appeals court on Monday delayed the execution of a woman amid growing doubts about whether she fatally beat her 2-year-old daughter in a case that has garnered the support of lawmakers, celebrities and even some of the jurors who sentenced her to death. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals granted a request by Melissa Lucio's lawyers for a stay of execution so a lower court can review her claims that new evidence in her case would exonerate her. (ABC 13)
3. Houston native and music superstar Lizzo is going back out on tour, she shared the news about it on Facebook this morning. Lizzo will be making a few stops in Texas, including in Houston at Toyota Center on October 26 with Latto. (KHOU 11)
4. United Airlines, a major Houston airline hub at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, has partnered with Singapore Airlines to expand their codeshare agreement, United recently announced. Starting today all United customers can connect to nine new codeshare destinations in the Singapore Airlines network. (CultureMap Houston)
5. Skechers USA Inc. will soon be coming to Fort Bend County’s The Grand at Aliana. The shoe retailer signed a 10-year lease with NewQuest Properties at an 8,012 square-foot space at the shopping center and is scheduled to open by the end of 2022, according to an April 25 announcement.
