Houston Sports Round Up: Rockets, Astros, And Texans
The Texans are winless after three games, the Astros are in the playoffs again, and the Rockets are ready to launch on the 2018-19 season.

HOUSTON, TX — The Houston sports world is pretty dynamic, and like any other city with fans as rabid as they are in the Bayou City, it can be especially fun when the teams are doing well.
Right now, the teams run the spectrum with the World Series Champion Houston Astros clinching a playoff berth, while the Houston Texans are winless and struggling. The Houston Rockets, who start their season next month, are looking forward to having Carmelo Anthony on the roster and could make a few more roster moves before the season starts.
The Houston Texans were just plain bad on Sunday in their home opener against the New York Giants, a team that was also winless until Sunday afternoon. Fans were treated to more inconsistent clock management and poor play calling from head coach Bill O’Brien.

The Texans decided to play football in the second half, and managed to get within 5 points of the Giants as the fourth quarter ended. The 0-3 Texans play the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium at noon next Sunday
The Houston Astros are riding high after a 6-2 win that completed a sweep of its series the Los Angeles Angel on Sunday. It was the Astros final homestand of the regular season. They travel to Montreal to take on the Blue Jays, and then on to Baltimore where they will take on the Orioles to end the regular season later this week. The outing gives the Astros, who are 98-57, a solid chance of repeating as 100 game winners this season., as well as winning the AL Central Division.

It won’t be long before Rockets fans get to experience the tag team of James Harden and Carmelo Anthony at the Toyota Center, but there could be more additions. Reports surfaced this weekend that tied the Rockets as a possible landing spot for Timberwolves Jimmy Butler. It would be a homecoming of sorts for Butler, who played his high school hoops at Tomball High School, but there are financial reason while the Rockets are a lot less likely of adding Butler than the Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat or the LA Clippers, who are among the suitors for Butler’s services.
