Houston Texans Rookie RB D'Onta Foreman Tests Negative For Drugs Per Attorney

The 2016 Doak Walker Award winner who placed eighth in the Heisman Trophy voting was a third-round draft pick by Houston

HOUSTON, TX — The attorney of Houston Texans rookie running back D'Onta Foreman said the former Texas Longhorn star tested negative for marijuana after results from a drug test that came back Friday. Foreman's attorney, Chip Lewis, said the running back took a voluntary urinalysis test.

Foreman was arrested last weekend in Austin on charges of marijuana and the unlawful possession of a gun.

Foreman is a 6-1, 250-pound back from nearby Texas City who played three seasons at The University of Texas. He won the 2016 Doak Walker award for the nation's best running back after rushing for 2,028 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior. He opted to forego his senior season to enter the NFL Draft. The Houston Texans took Foreman in the third round.
