1. A Houston man accused of stabbing a woman to death in front of her children over the weekend is in police custody. Wesley Guillard is charged with the murder of Dannetrica Green. According to police, Green previously dated her accused murderer and reported him to police for abuse before her death. (ABC 13)

2. Police are looking for any information related to a deadly shooting Monday night at the top of an apartment parking garage at the 8820 block of Westheimer near Fondren Road. According to police, a man was found dead with several gunshot wounds. (KHOU 11)

3. Houston's first Black-owned brewery, For the Culture, is opening this year. Owner Jonathan Brown hopes to be the change he wanted to see in the industry. Its umbrella organization, Craft Culture X, is a joint venture with a majority women-owned brewery, Ovinnik Brewing. (Houston Chronicle)

4. A University of Houston researcher has found a new biomarker and potential drug target for the fight against breast cancer after analyzing 398 proteins. The estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer makes up approximately 80% of all breast cancers and research with the new marker could help patients. (University of Houston)

5. Barry Barnes is the Houston Health Department employee who is part of the focus in an FBI public corruption investigation as Barnes' office was searched and evidence boxes were loaded into vehicles last week. Michael Wynne, the attorney representing Barnes, said "It's unclear, at this point, the scope of the federal investigation. Federal authorities have been very cooperative and professional with us to date." (Click2Houston)
