HOUSTON, TX — A 22-year veteran of the Houston Police Department has been relieved of duty after he was arrested in Fort Bend County during an undercover prostitution sting, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.

Officer Danny Le, 47, who was assigned to HPD’s downtown division, was arrested Tuesday was charged with prostitution, a class B misdemeanor, after he allegedly solicited an undercover officer for sex, investigators said.

Le was released from the Fort Bend County Jail after posting a $500 bond later that same day. Officials at HPD said Le was relieved of his official duties at HPD on Tuesday.

Fort Bend County investigators said the sting was targeting johns offering money in exchange for sexual favors. Le is one of about a half dozen HPD officers who have been caught soliciting sex during undercover sting operations since 2016.
