HPD Vice Announces 16 Arrested For Sex Crimes In September

There were 16 men who found themselves in handcuffs after they were caught pimping girls, or trying to buy sex from undercover officers.

HOUSTON, TX — The Houston Police Vice Department has released the booking photos of 16 men who were arrested during the month of September. These men were charged with either soliciting prostitution (johns) or compelling prostitution (pimps).

The Houston area is widely known to be a hub for the illicit human trafficking and sex trafficking trade. As a result, it’s been the policy of the Houston Police Department a to publish the booking photos of those who are involved in the sex trade.

“We hope by publishing these suspects' photos we will raise awareness of the issue that is human trafficking and put the community on notice that we will no longer tolerate these crimes in our neighborhoods,” said HPD Vice Division Captain James Dale.
