Police Charge Man In Fatal Road Rage Crash
A man who was a passenger in construction van was killed early Monday when two vehicles ran a red light and t-boned the van, police said.
HOUSTON, TX — A man who crashed into the side of a van and killed an innocent man, has been charged with intoxicated manslaughter. Luis Gaspar, 22, is in the Harris County Jail and being held without bond.
Police said the victim was on his way to work on Monday morning when two vehicles ran a red light and smashed into the side of the van. The fatal crash happened at about 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Airline Drive and Interstate 45.
Investigators said the man was a passenger in a construction van that was taking several workers to a construction site. The construction van was passing through the intersection when the driver of a silver Chrysler and the driver of a white van, identified as Gaspar, were traveling westbound on Airline Drive and ran a red light. Police said the silver Chrysler and the van both smashed into the side of the workers van, killing the front passenger.

Six people were injured in the crash including three who were in the construction van, officials said.
Police believe the incident began at a club and that Gaspar who ran the red light was intoxicated.

The crash is under investigation.
