1. Lankford’s, an established American and Tex-Mex diner in Montrose, is opening a new location in Bellaire. The 85-year-old restaurant’s new site will be located at 5200 Bissonnet St., Bellaire, within the Bissonnet Center. An opening is being planned for the fall, according to owners. 2. A woman was taken into custody for leading police on a chase after she rammed a patrol car during a traffic stop on Saturday, according to police. The 30-minute chase spread around the Houston area. The Houston Police Department assisted and spiked the woman's tires in an effort to stop her, but only the left front tire went flat. (ABC 13)
3. The victim of a fatal crash with a suspect in a police chase was a well-known former rugby player and coach, according to multiple sources including former teammates. 41-year-old Pedrie Wannenburg died Friday in a crash along Greenhouse Road, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. 4. Houston-area's Local Table at Villago Town Center, 22756 Westheimer Parkway, Ste. 100, Katy, will be relocating to a larger space in mid-July. The new space at 24033 Cinco Ranch Blvd., Katy, and will house the same staff but cater to a bigger crowd. (Community Impact News)
5. A bail bond agent has sued the Harris County Bail Bond Board following the adoption of a new rule that requires bondsmen to collect a minimum ten percent of the total bond for certain violent or sexual offenses. The plaintiff listed in the case is Sunya Claiborne of All About Bail Bonds. (Click2Houston)
