Man Accused of Burning Down Cousins House, Killing 6 Dogs

A woman who left her home to go to the store Monday night, came back to find her house on fire and her six dogs dead inside: Reports

HOUSTON, TX — A woman who ran out of her home to make a run to the grocery store Monday night, came back to find her house in flames, and her six dogs dead.

The fire erupted in Houston's Fifth Ward near Green and Sydnor Street at about 11:15 p.m.

The woman said she and her cousin hadn't been getting along, and had argued earlier that evening, and that he'd left the home.

The woman left the home later and walked to the grocery store down the stret, and returned to find her home on fire.

According to a KHOU report, the woman told investigators she saw her cousin setting the fire as she was returning from the store.

Arson investigators trying to determine how the fire started.

The person who may have started the fire is still at large.
