Man Held On Kidnapping Charge Is Accused Of Capital Murder: Cops
Police have charged Isaac Sims, 17, with the May 1, 2018, murder of 42-year-old Luis Carlos Flores.

HOUSTON, TX — A 17-year-old man who is in jail on kidnapping charges, is now charged with capital murder in an unrelated case. Isaac Sims is accused of killing 42-year-old Luis Carlos Flores during a robbery
On May 1, 2018, at approximately 10:45 p.m., the Galena Park Police Department contacted the Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit for their assistance in a murder investigation at a home in the 1700 block of Duna Way Court in east Harris County.
Homicide investigators found a vehicle partially submerged in Hunters Bayou when they arrived. Inside the car, they recovered Flores' body in the backseat.

According to the autopsy report, Flores was shot multiple times. Investigators said Flores may have been involved in an illegal firearms transaction near the time of his death.
Sims is being held on an unrelated kidnapping case in the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility without bond.
