Shooter Wanted: Police Search For Grandmother's Killer
Harris County Sheriff's Office Violent Crime Unit has charged James Johnson, 23, with shooting a 42-year-old woman as she drove past him.

HOUSTON, TX — A 23-year-old man is facing murder charges for shooting a 42-year-old woman in the head as she drove past an apartment complex.
James Johnson has been charged in the shooting, but officials said Johnson is still on the run.
Investigators said Johnson shot at the woman's car as she drove away from the La Esencia Apartment complex Thursday morning with her 22-year-old daughter and 4 grandchildren in the vehicle.

Precinct 4 Constables were called earlier around 8:30 pm Wednesday, after Johnson and the victim's daughter and son began fighting.
Witnesses said Johnson pulled a pistol and pointed it the victim's 22-year-old daughter during the argument.

Precinct 4 Constables were in the process of filing an aggravated assault charge on Johnson, when the second call for service was dispatched at 12:09 a.m Thursday.
The victim, who was shot in the head, was taken to Houston Northwest Hospital in critical condition, and died late Thursday.
The daughter and grandchildren were not injured.
James Johnson is a black male, 5-feet 9-inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds.
